Unwanted ads after opening links.

So for a couple of days now my browser (chrome) has been running slower and acting weird when opening a link, for example when i get an email and i follow a link it brings me to a page with ads on it or some other stuff the initial link was not linked to...

I have tried several things to get rid of it but nothing helps... I'm running Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2015 on windows 7 and ran a full system scan twice, and it found nothing.
I also ran Kaspersky tdss killer and it found nothing. I deleted all programs that i installed in the last month and also deleted an extension responsible for opening tabs filled with ads. I should mention that it still opens tabs without my permission but the page stays white, probably because the extension is missing. But the unwanted redirecting is still here and i can't find anything to get rid of it.

My antivirus probably deleted what caused it but can't fix the changes it made... And i'm not smart enough to figure out where to find it myself...

This is seriously annoying and caused a BSOD a half an hour ago... I've read several times that this is something to be fixed manually but i haven't found a guide that works. This problem is know as the Google redirect virus and i probably got it. If someone could help me get rid of it i'll be very thankful.

Disable system restore

Get adwcleaner run it. Whatever it finds tell it remove it then reboot. And use something better than chrome its crap

Enable SR again if you want to use it

install a plugin called adblock

I've been trying to get rid of it for !! 4 hours !!, i did all of the above, step by step nothing helped. When i open a link i still get redirected to some malware infested page, not all the time but most if it...

If anyone got any more suggestions please share them.

Yes i disabled it, ran adwcleaner and deleted everything it came up with, restarted pc and its still there...

I googled most of these and nothing came up as suspicious...

If anyone can take a look at it you might see something i missed... Sorry for the wall of text.

I would update Java if you use it. Yours is out of date. Its up to 8 update 45 now. Older versions of Java have vulnerabilities. And if you dont keep it up to date you can get hacked.

Uninstall what you've got then use Javara to remove old versions

Then install the latest version/s

When you installed Vuze did you do a custom install?? If it had the option?

Since it may install adware if you dont?

Thanks i updated it, yes i did a custom install because i know it wants to download a whole bunch of other stuff i don't need. I've got vuze for a long time now, i'm sure that is not what's causing the problem. Although it does say i installed it the 15th of march its actually been on my pc for over a year.

I did that and it did not help. I might however found out what the cause of this whole thing is, i'm not 100% sure though.

I downloaded a program called process explorer and found a process running under the name of S5wow_2005.exe.

I googled it and this came up:

The process known as S5wow_2005.exe belongs to software AI Suite II


Important: Some malware camouflages itself as S5wow_2005.exe, particularly when located in the C:\Windows or C:\Windows\System32 folder. Therefore, you should check the S5wow_2005.exe process on your PC to see if it is a threat.

I ended the process and opened up around 20 links, i didn't get redirected ones. I restart my pc so that process can start up again and first link i open i get redirected.

I am still not sure that this fixes it because after i tried all the other stuff mentioned above and more, i then also opened around 20 links and did not get redirected, but suddenly it pops again. So how am i sure that this is the cause of it, and how do i delete it ?

I don't know if anyone got any ideas left but S5wow_2005.exe was not the cause of it... Is there anything else i can do ? Or is my only option to re install the os ? And will that actually get rid of it, because i really don't want to do that unless i'm 100% sure it will fix it.
