I saw nothing about an 8GB limit. Did I miss it?
no it was a further educated guess based on multiple memory upgrade places that all agreed on the max 8GB memory ability of the pavilion series 15 notebooks from HP
http/www.memorystock.com/memory/HewlettPackard15r204tx.html
states 8GB
http/www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/pavilion-15-rxxxx-series-%28intel-ddr3%29
states 8GB
but HP pages seems after some digging indicated the following at
http/h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04409502
16GB but seemingly becomes incompatible for windows 32bits systems...
