Upgrade Laptop or Purchase New Gaming Desktop

I have a decent laptop: AMD A8 CPU with AMD 4600 graphics, 8g RAM and around 750 Hard disk. It can run new games fine (BLOPS 2, Portal 2) but sometimes I get lag and my laptop just seems quite low quality. Should I upgrade (I have heard this is extremely hard for laptops) or should I get a new desktop?! Just a note, if I did sell my laptop I will receive £200 and I will also have saved around £450 having a budget of around £700, any good ideas would really help! I am British by the way

i wouldnt spend money on a laptop, building a desktop is a much better choice.

Thanks dude, another thing is I have only had the laptop for a year, is it worth selling now or later

the longer you wait the less it will be worth, so now is better, unless you plan on keeping it for awhile.
