Upgrade ram on hp 14-bw053au

The original ram on the laptop throws and adds to the new one
for example = laptop slot there is 2.1 slot ram has been used. i want updrade ram.ram original laptop i want to dispose and replace with new. it does not affect the system anymore.think plug and play.
