Sir i have a laptop (hp elitebook 8640p ) I contains intel i5 2520 m processor which is of 2 generation therefore I want to change my laptop's processor in the new generation processor
So, kindly help me with that which processor I must buy ....

You can only upgrade your laptop to a Sandy Bridge processor (2nd gen).
These are the CPUs that you can upgrade to:

So the I7 2820QM is the best you can upgrade to.

On page 91 you'll find the list in my image.

Newer generation processors won't work on that motherboard either because of the BIOS version (3rd Gen Ivy Bridge) or because of the different CPU socket (4th Gen and newer).

It is a laptop, which means unless you are extremely lucky, there is not even a replacement motherboard that can go in to that form factor which supports the "new generation" processor. So in short, you need a new laptop.
