Upgrades on gt70 2pc

Just wondering if I can upgrade the cpu and the gpu on the gt70 2pc. If so what are some suggestions?

You can techinically upgrade the GPU on the GT70, but it requires an MSI-specific GPU or flashing another GPU with MSI BIOS. In the end, however, neither of these methods are cost effective since a good upgrade for the GT70 will cost $500-700 or even more depending on what your laptop already has.

And upgrading the CPU will give you tiny, almost unnoticeable gains, considering the CPU in that laptop is probably close to the best you can get in a laptop.

I have the 870m in it. Could I upgrade to the 980m? I dont mind spending another 500.
