Hi All,

I was wondering whether it was possible to upgarde the CPU, RAM, and Video Card on my Dell Inspiron 14 5000 Series. If so, how would one go about doing that and what would you recommend for a gaming laptop?

It's currently running an AMD Radeon R5 M335 Video Card, Intel Core i5-6200U CPU 2.30 GHz, and 8 GB RAM.

I originally purchased it for my studies, but now I want to be able to play games on it well.

Thanks in advance!

It would not be possible to upgrade to the latest high end gaming graphics, you will have to sell your current computer and buy one with the specifications that you need. Or better for gaming, build a gaming only rig that is in your budget -- post in the system forum a post with your budget for a gaming computer.

Hi RealBeast,

Thanks for commenting.
How about upgrading to not the latest hugh-end gear but say, just something better than my current specs?
Is that something that I can do or is it just something you generally cannot do on a Dell laptop?
