I just bought a Inspiron 15 5000 Series (Intel) - 5567 but i dont like the 1366 x 768 display, is it possible to upgrade the screen to the 1080p screen myself? Im just confused if the 1080p screen would be compatible or not?

Both WXGA and WUXGA screens use a 30 pin connector. The touch model uses a 40 pin connector.

yes, it is possible. i just upgraded mine from 1366x768 to 1920x1080. as long as it has the 30-pin connector. only the touch screen Full HD model uses 40-pin. non touch models with HD and Full HD screens are both using 30-pin connector.

Alicabang Does your Inspiron 15 have the i5 in it? how was the upgrade to the screen? just plug and play from the old 768p screen to the 1080p screen? I am planning to change my screen too but am worried that the screen might not work when I change it to the 1080p one. Your answer will be a big help, Thank you.

yes, mine is 15 (15.6”). it’s plug and play...no issues at all. i got the screen from laptopscreen.com. it’s a very easy process. just watch the videos on youtube on how to do it. touchscreen models have 40 pin connector while non touch have 30 pin connector. it’s available in glossy and matte screens.
