Solved! Upgrading to Lenovo Thinkpad T420S

Hello I currently own an Acer Aspire 5742 and it has 4GB Ram, I5 450M, 250GB HDD. I find it to be a little slow and the visual condition isn't great anymore. I'm thinking about upgrading to the Lenovo Thinkpad T420S WIth an I5 2520M, NVS4200M, 4GB Ram (Upgrade to 8) and hopefully an SSD.
Does anyone recommend any upgrades or things i can do as this will be my 9-5 Workhorse.

You already said you will be getting 8 GB of RAM and an SSD for it, that is all you can do. You may want to re-do the heatsink thermal paste with new stuff also.

I've heard that I7's are good upgrades for these machines but it apparently will cause issues over time so I'll keep the i5. I'll most likely repaste it anyway as it'll be dry as after 5-6 years use
