It's running Windows 8 Pro. Apparently this is the reason why HP didn't have any options above the 650m available. So I'm taking this to mean that the mobo will support a 670m/7950 etc.?? pwease halp me?

*Once those gpu's become compatible w/w8..

That's what the ho I was talking to @ HP said. I know that those cards were available w/this same laptop pre win8. So I guess the only q is: Is the upgrade something I could do by an authorized tech so as not to void the warranty?

The video card on this board isnt upgradable its soldered onto the motherboard.

Fack! & soldered? The option is not available online. So, for some reason they do not have anything over a 650M available atm, it appears her reason is manufactured bs. Christ I don't want to spend another hour on the phone w/those people.

Never will deal w/these crooks again. I asked for my order to be canceled and they said they'd try. lol.

They're going to build it and send it and make me return it, I'm sure. why the f wouldn't they have every nvidia card on the market?

How can you say 650m is plenty when you have no idea what he expects and wants out of his computer?

I don't know. Talk me out of it. So I'd be spending $1800 for a very good laptop w/a mid-line card. How much can I pull out of this card w/out heat/warranty voiding issues, etc? Maybe up to a 660m? I play bf3/skyrim/etc. Seems like I could get a ibuypower or something similar w/the same amount of cash and a 675m + higher quality components (GSkill Ram, etc.), and be able to upgrade it down the road. Am I off?

Suggestions? I actually built an MSI and got up to 3k hehe. The Ibuypower is ending up a little over 2k.

Well, some say mobile i5s are better for games due to their higher clock speed but i really don't have an exact idea. I usually check out this site for notebook/laptop reviews, comparisons and benches. You may want to take a look: http://www.notebookcheck.net/

P.S: Also, i don't know if you terribly need this laptop but i'd recommend not rushing. If you search more, you may find a better/cheaper model that will deserve your hardly earned money better :)
