upnp streaming by using windows 8.1

Hello guys,

I have a problem by using upnp.
I have a Windows 7 desktop and use serviio as a DLNA / UPNP server tool. It works perfect to stream some movies to my TV. Unfortunatly it is not possible to stream them to another Notebook. The Notebook (Windows 8.1) downloads the movies by using VLC or anything else before playing instead of streaming?
Has anyone the same problem or a solution?

I have the same problem. I can stream videos from my Windows 8.1 laptop to any of my android tablets with no problem. But trying to stream from the Windows 8.1 laptop to my Windows 7 laptop or to my Windows 8.1 tablet causes them to download the file first before playing (using VLC).

P.S. I'm using TVersity Pro as my server tool.
