Customs does not search checked bags until they arrive at the destination (international) and the passenger has the bags with them. For the majority the whole search process is conducted in front of you.

The guys who search checked bags are TSA.

I have 2 new xboxes....the only way you can tell if you have the jasper chipset is when only cold air comes out of the back of the unit....my unit is 1 month old....my daughters is 5 months old and hers blows hot air out the back....heat is what kills the xbox...both units are arcade units....i use them as windows media center extenders.

I simply refuse to fly anymore. My job doesn't require it at all, and my personal dignity will not permit the level of abuse that pervades the air travel systems worldwide. Netted out, if I can't drive, take the train, or a ship, I simply have no desire to go there. The residents of most state prisons are treated with more dignity and respect than the flying public.

The notion of checking a starter gun must be the brilliant idea of someone whose never checked a gun before. I checked a pistol in my luggage over the holidays. Once TSA completes their hand search, and you lock your bag back up, your bag is treated like ANY OTHER. I stood in the 'checked firearms' line for 45 minutes, only to find that my bag was back on the luggage carousel, because they had no way to distinguish it from any other bag. This was on an NWA / Delta flight.
