"Have things gotten so bad online security-wise that the government is now recruiting adolescents?"

Since when is an 8 year old an adolescent?!?

[citation][nom]gerchokas[/nom]Outrageous. Teaching kids how to fight the criminals of the future? Why not instructing them on ethics and moral values, and then NOT having to fight such a thing?[/citation]

Indoctrination from a very young age, control and subdue, The New World Order!

This article looks like it was written for a daily sensation rag, not Toms.

It will also serve as a recruiting farm for U.S. federal agents looking for the next-generation of "digital crime fighters."

They're kids. Their minds haven't even fully developed yet.

"We want to expose kids at an earlier age to the wonders of taking things apart and making them do things that they weren't intended to do," added Defcon founder Jeff Moss.

Yep, and I'm sure they're doing just that kind of thing overseas, when they separate girls from boys in the classroom, teach them to know their place..and how to make bombs using everyday items. Oh but wait that's sick isn't it.

Just booked my ticket. Literally. While it sucks to be in Vegas as a minor, it's relatively easy to get somebody who's over 21 to go there with you ;D

[citation][nom]gerchokas[/nom]I get your point, but as Trialsking says, It's not what you learn at school, nor a loose word that your parents may have said some time. Ethics and morals are a deep part of the culture, something you "develop" when you grow up."Would you steal something from a shop if there was noobody there, and you were sure that nobody would notice?"Asking yourself that kind of question maturely, is how i believe you realize if you've learned about ethics..[/citation]
Depending on what it was and how much I wanted it, yea. I have shop lifted before, has been like 15 years since I did it last though. It all depends on the place, the price, the item and how daring I feel but yea I would do it.

Super. Throw in a nifty ceremonial knife, elements of pagan ritual and I'm sold. Oh, no, wait. That was the Hitler Youth. This is something TOTALLY different.

Yawohl, herr obergrupenfuhrer!

being an ethical "white hat " hacker is kool.......but being a "dark-hat-super-evil" hacker is F^&*Kin Awesome !!!! >🙂
