Hi, I just bought a new desktop *ACER AZ3-715-UR51 23.8” AIO. Intel i7-6700T and 16gb RAM) It has Intel integrated graphics, and 4 USB 3.0 ports. Can I buy an external card and intall/use it that way? Or must it be used in a PCI slot? (which it doesn't have if I'm reading the specs right). Also, with this configuration I shouldn't have any problems at all running photoshop and or Lightroom at the same time. It can be upgraded to (I believe 64gb RAM, or at the very least 32)

Sorry, I didn't get any notification that you posted. The expansion options is just listing pcie lanes and cpu configs. The mobo is what determines what you can plug in since it has the slots but yours doesn't have any. You should be fine running ps and lr.

Egpus can't use usb. It must use a connection that uses pcie protocols; expresscard, m.2, thunderbolt, mpcie which the wireless card should use. But there's no reason to use an egpu on a new pc. Return it and you can get better performance for the price of the pc+adapter+gpu+psu.

Thank you for the fast reply. I don't know if this helps (I'm no guru) but here are the specs from Intel.

The integrated graphics (Intel HD 530)

What do the terms under "Expansion Options" mean? Do they imply that a PCI card can be installed?
If not, I'll probably still stick with this pc as I'm confident it will handle my main needs (photo editing with PS and LR) Agreed? , and I can add even more memory (Up to 64gb) if I wish.
Hope I didn't overload with too much/redundant info. Apologies if I did.
