I have ASUS Zenbook UX303UA and bought a headset with microphone. I am using a 2-jack USB widget (<---see image) since notebook has got only 1 jack.

It was working well but then, I plugged it out and plugged back in and it doesn't read the USB anymore. When I go to "Devices" it shows the device but says USB Audio Device (Driver Error)

HERE IS A SCREENSHOT

Any ideas what happened?

Hi,

Please do try to uninstall/reinstall the USB driver.
- For to Device Manager and uninstall the USB controller drivers.
- Once completely uninstalled, reboot the laptop and it should reinstall the driver automatically.
- After the reboot, do test it again and see if it will work or not.
- If this will not work please do try to run System Restore.
- Here's how: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ph/windows-10/windows-10-recovery-options
- Restore the laptop to an earlier date or time when the USB device was still working fine.
- If the same problem will persist after System Restore I would suggest just using a 3.5mm splitter cable.
- Here's a sample:
