USB-C hdmi cord in one work with usb-c port. Or only with thunderbolt.

HI i was wondering if i could buy a Usb-c to hdmi cord to connect my 2nd monitor to my laptop. My laptop doesnt have Thunderbolt but does have a USB-c plug on it. I was wondering if this would work.

Which exact laptop do you have so we can check. You should find the model# on the bottom of the laptop, sometimes hiding under the battery if it has a removable one.

well i'm not sure if a hdmi-usb c adapter works with a usb-c port without thunderbolt 3.. could be, could also be dependant on the screen itself
