usb devices stay on in sleep mode

all my usb devices stay on in sleep mode mouse, cooling pad etc. does anyone know how to fix this issue? I'm using a Lenovo y40-80 laptop.

Check power settings in the BIOS and Device Manager.

1. Go into device manager 2. Double click universal serial controllers 3. Right click on USB root hub 5. Click properties 5. Click power management 6. Check the box which says allow the computer turn off this device to save power

already did that usb power still on.

also I went into the bios everything also looked good in there so I don't know why the usb ports are still on in sleep mode, weird

I know on a couple of my laptops their is an option in the BIOS that allows the USB to provide power when the laptop is off (for charging USB devices) maybe this is what is going on.

I already turned off the option in the bios. oh well at least they turn off when I power off the laptop. lol
