Solved! Usb ports not working

my laptop is msi ex401. my 2 usb ports at the left side are not working. whenever i insert my printer and flash disk it says "usb device not recognize" but if i inserrt my laptop fan and mouse it functions well... what might be the cause of this irregularities..

The problem seems to be with your flash memory stick. You state that the mouse works in the USB port - this means that the USB port is working fine.

To verify, try the flash memory stick in a different computer USB port. Is the flash mem new? Does it need to be formatted?
