USB PROBLEM WITH EMAChINE LAPTOP

emachine e520 usb's got damaged resoldered new ones in to board and cannot get them to recognise a usb device. i have got 5volts on the power side of the usb have uninstalled all usb controllers and rebooted but still no luck. windows shows all controllers and drivers installed there is no control in the bios for usb's completely lost any ideas

Try reinstalling the chipset from emachine's support site. The chipset reinstall will reset the USB controllers. If that doesn't work, my guess is that it is still something hardware related.
