USB serial converter

How do i get my laptop to recognize my USB serial converter

read the manual. you might have to download some drivers from the manufacturer's webside

It will require a driver that usually came with the converter, and once you have it installed you'll have to make sure to always plug it into the same usb port on the computer. I use one on my laptop for consoling into routers, and the driver is only tied to the usb port that you initially install the adapter on.
