Use Computer monitor as TV?

Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible and if so how I can use my Computer Monitor as television?

My monitor is a Samsung T260 with hdmi connection

What I got in my flat is a television socket in the wall, so I've read about receivers and so but I was wondering if I can use the Television socket to work with my monitor?

You can use the computer monitor as a TV. However if you want to do any actual cable watching then your going to need to get a monitor with a TV tuner or a separate one that can plug into any display.

Yes so it wouls be used to watch cable television, so what I need is a piece of hardware that converts cable to for example hdmi output which connects to my monitor?

Do you know any websites where I can find those?
