Ok, so im gonna buy a new HDTV for my room, gonna connect my xbox 360, blu-ray player, and FIOS cable box to it. My current TV has a headphone jack so i have no problems but since a headphone jack is rare in new TV's, i have a problem. So im gonna use a "Digital Optical Coax to Analog Stereo Audio Converter" (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003XCHCLC/ref=pe_175190_21431760_M2C_ST1_dp_1) and hopefully that works. My first question is do you guys think it will work and my 2nd question is, do i have to connect the converter to each boxes individual optical out or just connect everything to my TV and then connect the converter to my TV and i'll be able to use headphones to listen to whatevers playing on the TV?

Most likely will work. And yes, any audio input connected to the TV(everything basically) will output to the converter when setup in TV settings correctly.

Source:Have Speakers that are connected via optical coax.
