Vanilla essence split on keyboard

Please help
I have just found out my daughter split vanilla essence on laptop keyboard 3days ago
She wiped the spillage off
I turned on laptop today and keyboard isnt working num lock key light will not turn off
I took battery out and started laptop start up screen is glitching
Any suggestions

The unit never should have been turned on before it was disassembled and dried correctly.

You can try removing the keyboard, hopefully it's just gummed up and sticking and see if the laptop starts normally,

But I would disassemble the unit, clean all residue off everything and take it from there, liquid damaged motherboard repair sucks but you might be able to just replace it.

Hi All
I have just found out my daughter spilt vanilla essence on my laptop keyboard. I only found this out when i went to use laptop and couldnt put password in after turning it on num lock key was on but it wont type anything
So she told me she spilt vanilla essence on keyboard days ago and wiped it up straight away. Have i stuffed it up by turning on laptop
I have taken battery out and started again and now screen is flickering
Any suggestions would be most helpful
