Vegas Pro 13 Ridiculously Long Render Time

I'm currently rendering a native 1440p video recorded by Dxtory. The project settings are in 1440p at 60fps just like what was recorded by Dxtory. I'm trying to render a 1 minute clip and it's expected to render in a total of over 2 hours. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

EDIT: Okay so apparently I didn't just render a minute, it was the whole 27 minutes and 26 seconds of this video.

That is a rather large file (145.78GB) you are encoding. What render settings are you using? AVI files have a tendency to take longer to encode because they are uncompressed and large. However, without knowing your render (export) settings it is difficult to tell you what, if anything, you can change.

I added some info on my OP. Let me know if this seems normal to you, or if there's something I could do to optimize this. I realize I could downscale to 1080p during rendering.

Should I be compressing my .avi file from Dxtory when recording? Does that help with time? I figured it would take longer because Vegas would have to decompress and slow it down.

Have you tested a render by turning off "Adjust source media to better match project or render settings"? Before compressing the Dxtory .avi file I would try what I just mentioned.

Even if you were to compress the .avi file I'm not sure any time would be gained as it would take time to compress (encode in another format/container) the file.

As far as your Dxtory settings go I don't know anything about what codecs are available for use and which one would be best.
