Verizon smartphone wav file

.wav is as common as dirt. i would be suprised if a phone couldnt read the format.

even uncommon file types are supported for playing within certain apps.

Yes, Motorola Droid phones will playback wav files. I've done it with my 1st gen Droid. Any Android phone should be able to do it.

Just be aware that wav files are uncompressed audio files so if the wav file is too big, then whatever audio player you are using may not be able to accept such a large file.

1 minute of uncompressed audio is about 10MB.
