I hooked an external monitor and display is fine. what can I do?

Your screen is damaged. You are not the first to have this issue. The most logical solution is to continue using an external screen. Unless you have 400 dollars to shell out to get it replaced.

Thanks. I had to replace screen on older model HP. Ran about $130.00 plus good how instructions on You tube
