Hi all, i'm looking for a software that would detect my camera files such as mts, avi, avchd and files like that. I want a software that would detect my shooting details such as focal length, aperture and things like that. Which would be a good software for that? thanks

Solution
What you want is a video cataloging software not a video editing one.
You can read all the above info from your video file (check the properties tab)
Some software also will do this.
http://videocataloger.com/ has a free trial.
Data crow is very well reviewed.
Personal video database is free http://www.videodb.info/forum_en/index.php?PHPSESSID=721ea9120da96c55125f64c320917448&action=down
If you want a more professional program, try Adobe Premiere (also has a trial version)

Hi there, i'm looking for a software that would simply read my video format's aperture settings, focal length and iso number. Any software that would do that? thanks!

What file format are you recording in? Are you sure your camera even writes that sort of metadata to your videofiles?

Not sure what yo're asking for. There is a program named "MediaInfo", you can drag any video files in (onto desktop shortcut) and it will display any informationabout the video file.
