MiniDV Camcorder..... yes it had an SD slot, which accepted only small SD cards and was for taking snapshots, not video. helps if you research the product before answering.

OP this Cam does have a USB plug you should be able to download the video off it using that cable and the software that came with the camera.

If not you need an A/V conversion box and some recording software. This would work

Not sure why you feel you have to be so confrontational about it.

I did look it up:
https://www.amazon.com/Sharp-VLZ3U-MiniDV-Camcorder-Memory/dp/B0000899VM

It says SD or MMC memory. I see nothing about a tape or analog recording. This was a search directly off the keywords.

Edit...I see at the very very bottom it says something about the tape being used. Rather misleading of the whole ad, really considering the top line descriptors.

A wrong answer is a wrong answer, there is no reason to sugarcoat it. I'm sorry your feelings are hurt, but my criticism is valid. Too many folks here are quick to answer, and many times that answer can set them down the wrong path. Had this person assumed you were right and not come back they may have bought something they don't need and not solved their problem. Happens often here. Hopefully they do come back and see this.

That may work to output it to something but still needs the device I linked to input it to the PC.

I am here to moderate, and make sure our users get the information they are looking for, not wrong info that sets them down the wrong path. My response was hardly like a [blank] you just seem to have taken offense to being corrected. Re read my reply to you above, and lets let this one go as its hardly helping the OP.

Yes I was just suggesting the cables that may work with his device based on the information he gave us, that being said yes he would need some sort of capture card to then record it digitally.
