[citation][nom]virtualban[/nom]Exactly. If a child fails, to blame are the parents first.Maybe a "certificate to be a parent" could solve this. Make having a child a privilege, not a right. After all, the life of somebody else is at stake. People could be taking a few common sense tests and clearly express the desire to have a child and care and nurture them, protect them from the evils of the world and guide them to the righteous paths. And then be allover to Fornicate Under Consent of the Government (FUCG).Just an idea, though.[/citation]

I've been saying this for years. We should start a lobby for this very idea. Too many idiots are allowed to breed. Who do I sign my check to?

[citation][nom]memadmax[/nom]Libtards........[/citation]

Only a Conjob would say this... since you are too ignorant to know that Nader isnt a Democrat, he isnt a true politician and he is independent. Maybe you should go back to your min wage job before you hurt yourself (thinking)

I am so angry now! So furious...! Who knows what i will do!
...must be all those violent games i've been playing!!

😀

[citation][nom]ankit0x1[/nom]why the hell u alll elect them? learn something from games... you all are not so weak....you can full off anything from dire situations.you all fought thousands wars, killed millions, drove at 200 mph, used plasmid n survived underwater, stole millions cars-for good , for bad....understood meaning of insanity..telll them what games tought us[/citation]

I see nothing was taught to you.. since you cant even put a proper sentence together and your spelling is that of a 4th grader. You are the reason why this country is in a downward spiral.

[citation][nom]southernshark[/nom]Progressives at their finest. These idiots will never stop until they take away everything good and wholesome about this country. It all started back in the 1800s, first going after alcohol. Today their targets include guns, video games, violent music, fast cars, steroids, smoking, and much more. I'm sure once they take a few of those out they will go back to the old standby of going after alcohol.... not that they don't go after it on the edges right now (like drunk driving). These people are why I have a house in another country. Ralph Nader got his start don't ya know going after small fast cars? He took out the old 60's style Corvette. Which is why we got the 70s style Corvette.[/citation]

Wow.. what a bunch of psycho babble word salad.. If your name didnt say you were from the south, your post would have pretty much been self evident to that. Inbreeding hasnt done your family any good. So get off your sister.

If violent game developers are child molesters then politicians are members of organized crime parties robbing young people and children of their futures. This old guy Nader needs to step out of politics and stop contributing to screwing up the future for younger generations. My taxes just went up. My paycheck is smaller. Nader and pals are running up astronomical deficits that my generation has to pay back. GTFO of my video games!

[citation][nom]susyque747[/nom]Nadar is a tree hugging liberal, aka fascist/marxist like almost all Demo☭Rats. They talk good lies but deep down they want to take away your freedoms and micromanage all our lives.[/citation]

Why do you use words you dont even know what they mean, like fascist and marxist... im sure you use socialist a lot but dont know the meaning.. only what Faux News told your febile mind to think and say like a trained parrot.

I'm ok with banning the continued sale of new assault rifles. I myself would like to own a rifle but really don't think I need a 30 round clip to hit targets or hunt. Yes you can still kill people with these rifles, but at least it will make it that much harder to mow down rows and rows of people.

As for the games, the ban is stupid. The biggest issue I think is parents don't take responsibility anymore. I think they had banned some vending machine in elementary schools because kids were getting to fat. REALLY?!?!? How did the kid get a job to pay for such treats? Same with video games. I would like to know where a 10 year old gets a job to pay for $50 games. Oh, parents bought it? They didn't know it was that bad? Do you just hand over cash to the kid so they can buy whatever they want?

[citation][nom]susyque747[/nom]If the shoe fits.... and the shoe fits almost all Demo☭Rats aka loony leftists/progressives or what ever they are calling their communist party now days..[/citation]
Susie.. you are truly a moron to the Nth degree with your posts that you know nothing about what you are trying to say

There is a ratings system to prevent children from purchasing violent video games. The responsibility falls on the parents that do not prevent their children from playing these games. What a waste of tax payer money. This is a prime example of why our country is broke.

[citation][nom]Gooberface[/nom]Hey ! Let me ask you this : In how many countries outside the US has schol shootings occurred ? I know you have a "Constitutional Right" but maybe it´s time to revoke it.Kinder Eggs are prohibited because of a small toy inside is considered dangerous, but you can legally get an AK47 ??? Tell me in which scenario an assault rifle makes perfect sense for a normal citizen to have ?[/citation]

Most Americans enjoy their liberties and freedoms and despise tyranny. And contrary to popular belief the Constitution does not guarantee anyone's rights. Only well-armed civilians can stop a tyrannical government and protect their liberties. For that reason, a 'normal citizen' should have access to the same weapons that police and military use. Besides, how does taking those 'scary' AK-47s away from law-abiding citizens keep them away from criminals?

Ignorant words uttered by ignorant politicians! Reading a violent or horror book (which often describes far more vividly and sadistically the victims' torments) is also akin to molestation?

What a disgusting, hateful thing to say. I feel sorry for any game developers, or people on the path to such a career. Hearing this kind of tripe must be disheartening.

Gooberface: What is wrong with you? A normal citizen could be a collector and nothing else. Why have a fully loaded assault rifle? Just because. It is not the owners fault that someone took it without permission (or stole it) to do bad deeds. This happens all over the world. Unfortunately foreign media does not throw these things over to our shores and beat it to death the way we do. Also, does anyone know about the mass school STABBING in China not too long ago? That is not covered over here very well...
Guns, games, movies, etc. are not the problem, sick people are the problem. If they want to commit a crime they will find a way.

If you have your additional magazines in a easy to reach area, you can reload a rifle in under 1 second and continue firing. If you tape 2 together and simply flip it to reload, you can cut down on that time even further. (PS a handgun is even faster to reload and shoots just as fast and does just as much damage.

(PS they also sell 100 round drums for handguns)

At close range, a handgun is more effective than a rifle as it is easier to change targets using a handgun.

At medium to long range, a rifle becomes more effective as it allows for more accurate aiming at longer distances. (at close range, it is harder to aim with a rifle though not hard to a point where you will miss a shot)

30 rounds is so that you will have ample ammo, there are many cases where 6 shots does not kill someone or even stop them, while it is unlikely you will need 30 to take someone down, it is better to have more than needed, then not enough (especially since you will not be able to see into the future to know exactly when you will need a gun and exactly how much ammo you will need)

When you allow a law that allows the government to arbitrarily ban guns, then they can simply add new ones to the list. The same thing happened in Australia, they created a law that allows them to ban a select few guns, then they slowly added more guns to the list until they banned all guns while their gun deaths did go down, they paid for it in 3-4 times the violent crime rate and a significantly higher murder rate when stronger criminals have their way with weaker citizens.

Ahh yes nothing like a 1% tax to stuff their own treasuries... I am sure that will save many kids! NOT!
Everyone and their mom milking the situation for their own agenda and gains... such despicable people.
Hey how about actually put your foot down and telling your kids he/she can't play those games that were RATED for adults if you think so badly of them. I guess responsibility is not parents' job anymore? If you can't be responsible then don't have kids. Simple.

These idiotic laws will do nothing. Massacres , sooner or later, will continue to happen no matter what. Someone with a car can "mow down" hundreds of kids in the morning when they walk to school; so what ban cars? Someone could easily torch a whole class room with a 5 gallon gas can and a flare; so what we ban gas cans and fuel? There are hundreds of scenarios like these... banning something does NOT prevent it from happening.

Instead of spending money on lobbying for one or another thing they should focus more on helping the mentally ill to reduce these incidents; without implementing any dumb taxes that will go to waste in a year or two.

[citation][nom]The_Trutherizer[/nom]I'm sorry... But parents really need to take control of the games their kids play.[/citation]

Yes but from going from there to the point where the game developers are called virtual "child molesters" shouldn't be something to simply throw out there!

Child molesting is a damn serious crime (pushable by capital sentence if you ask me), game making is not a crime! Also the developers making the games do not target the kids, they are targeted at mature people and those games have mature ratings!

So this statement is highly irresponsible at best, at worst case it is a criminal act to put such grave accusations on someone without criminal evidence.
