in gran turismo 5 on ps3, you can use the camera to move your head and the game will move around the cockpit. is there a kind of vr experience software like that on pc that works with all or most of the current game that support vr? basically VR with webcam and triple monitors NOT with a mask

Solution

Triple monitors definitely let you see more, but if the webcam is tracking your head movements, it doesn't really show much more.

And again, that wouldn't be virtual reality. Just head tracking, the game would have to be built to support it, like GT5 does. VR racing games are also made specifically for VR, which head tracking is a sort of a part, but not really...

Because you're not immersed in the world (a headset limiting what you can see).

Also that seems kinda pointless to have a webcam track you head movement for a racing game with 3 monitors, what's the point of the monitors then showing you more.. and if it's tracking your head movements how will you see the stuff that's on the other screens.

there is no difference when your racing period. its called immersion. when u move your head in either technology it moves in game. and you can make it however sensitive as you like, you dont have to look all the way to the right, and when you wanna see whats to your right, who cares whats to your left, in fact webcam and triple monitor lets you see tons more at once
