Ok, I bought a new Dell computer 8500 with Windows 8 builtin. I am being told by Dell that I don't need any Anti-virus or malware protection because I have Windows Defender built in. Is this true ? Also I am being told, NEVER get Norton anti-virus, because it sucks and virus easily penetrate it. If I must get something, I am told to get Mcafee which is not free.

Is there a Great Free Anti-virus, anti-malware program I should get in addition to Windows 8 defender ? :)

Yea, those Dell guys for some reason hates Norton. They say all virus born and written are based upon Norton which makes Norton useless. and I was still getting malware and virus breaking thru even with Norton fully protecting the computer.

Anyhow, then I should definitely get a antivirus program, right ? Even with Windows defender

I had Norton antivirus and I was still getting attacked like crazy from malware. Mostly from Porn sites. So I just can't say Norton is good. What do you think ?

Yes,windows 8 comes with inbuilt antivirus protection, windows defender. But It is a basic consumer level antivirus software. It is not designed for the workplace as it offers little browsing protection . I personally prefer cloud based antivirus protection like Immunet and Panda to use with windows defender because it provides an extra lightweight layer of protection to PC and most importantly, they are compatible with each other.
