Vizio Sound Bar to Toshiba Smart TV syncing issues

Our new vizio sound bar will not stay synced via bluetooth to our Toshiba smart tv. It constantly disconnects and reconnects when using the "Bluetooth audio sync" feature. Also, the sound frequently is not in sync with the picture. I've tried re-syncing several times and turning the tv speakers on and off. Currently we just have it connected to the headphone jack, but that's not at all what we want.

You will need to check for updates for the soundbar firmware and also the TV to see if there is anything newer available to help with this. Cable connection is always better if you can do that.

Thanks for the reply. I tried the optical cable but the TV volume control doesn't work for that. The headphone jack does work, but we would really like to get the bluetooth working correctly because it's supposed to power up and down automatically and it's one less wire to fish through the wall.

Fish through a wall? How far away is the soundbar from the TV? Bluetooth is not a very long distance thing and walls in between the signals will also cause interference.

The sound bar sits on a dresser below the TV, but my wife dosn't want any exposed wires. I discovered an audio delay feature on the TV that's allowed me to get the sound more in sync with the TV. It's not perfect but much better.
