Is there a way to toggle on/off your USB headset (bonus points for know how to do audio only) in W10?

I had an analog headset up until now, and liked how I could just unplug them (audio jack) to not have to wear them during hours I didn't need to (and still use the mic on them, preferably around my neck as opposed to on my head).

Any possibility of doing this w/ W10?
I just got a pair of Patriot Viper V360 and really like them, but not enough to wear them 100% of the time I'm gaming.

Thanks!

Actually, you shouldn't need to restart apps. It shoudl take effect immediatly.
AN easier way is to use this app https://github.com/Belphemur/SoundSwitch/releases
I use it personally to switch sound from my speakers to my TV.
right click teh volume icon near the clock > playback devices> right click and set some other device(speakers?) as default.

Right, that's what I'm doing now, but you need to restart apps to get it to take effect.
Was wondering if there was a more seamless solution...
