If you want to play BF1 at Medium and other games like that, and have the system last for a few years without feeling slow, you should up your budget a bit and look at the laptops with an nVidia 1060 video card.

There are probably also 970m based system for 1,000 but a decent speed gaming laptop with a 500GB + SSD or dual drives won't be cheap.
