Want to convert USB 2.0 ports to USB 3.0

My Sony Viao Laptop has USB 2.0 ports and I want to convert it to 3.0, is it possible? If yes then how?

No, this is not possible. The USB ports are integrated with the motherboard and are not up-gradable.

What's the exact model of your Vaio? It might have ExpressCard slot where one can plug USB 3 card.
