Want to encrypt a USB stick

I need to encrypt a USD stick but I don't have bitlocker. What are the alternatives?

No, don't use TrueCrypt it is not secure and has unfixed security issues, it ceased development last year

Use VeraCrypt its a fork and a successor of TrueCrypt, its much better.

It has, AFAIK, no known unfixed security issues. There are no security issues beyond lack of development

Its code is undergoing a strong audit, and the team is generally trusted.

Veracrypt has huge amounts of barely-reviewed new code. This is a significant potential issue, that TrueCrypt doesn't really have.
