WD 1TB My Passport (on windows) not working

When i plug in my WD 1 TB My Passport into my computer (running Windows 7), i wait like a few secs until the pop up appears "auto play" then click "RUN WD Drive Unlock.exe", i enter my password in and everything freezes then it goes "WD Drive Unlock (not responding)" for a good minute and then i hear a sound like as if the password was accepted but then my harddrive files doesn't pop up like it normally does. So i open my computer and cant find the harddrive not open so i click on "RUN WD Drive Unlock again" but now it says "O Application Not Found"
I tried changing the disk name too but nothing seemed to work. Please help me

Try to replace the USB cable. If the problem persists then try another system or OS or port, if nothing helps then

Open the caddy and connect the drive directly to the MB of a desktop system as a second HDD.

The problem you are having that the OS is unable to read to drive. Good luck.

Note : Opening the caddy may void the warranty.
