Weak audio cable connection

I have an issue with these cables on my wireless lavalier mics, the connectors are quite weak and the solder joints holding the wires tend to breakcausing an intermittent connection, and loud pops (which is fun on our theaters 10 000 watt sound system). I've thought about replacing the plugs, but theyre proprietary and Sennheiser doesn't sell replacements. Anyways, I managed to get replacement cables (which was quite a difficult task), but I want to find a way to reinforce them so they don't break like the other ones did. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to do this? Thanks

Heat shrink tubing over them?

If you can open the connector you can use hot glue to mechanically strengthen the solder joint.
