I have to use a system set up for PC with my old MacBook Pro to play music for my dance class. What kind of adaptor do I need?

Solution
When you say the system is 'Set up for PC', what do you mean? To play music out of a PC you'd be plugging in an audio jack like this: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/31KyWV-SFkL._SX355_.jpg and you'd do exactly the same on an older Macbook - it would just go into the headphone port.

The only other way I can think that you'd connect a PC for sound is possibly through HDMI, though you'd only do that really if you wanted a picture too (ie showing a video). In that case you'd need a Thunderbolt-to-HDMI adaptor:

Hope that helps!
