What are the pro's and con's of using tablets for display?

In this case which tablets may be used for displaying information on a big screen? What kind of interface would be necessary to make this possible? Thanks.

Anything with a video out (it's almost always a mini HDMI port) will display on a TV/Monitor. Pick a budget then do a search for tables with video out.
