What causes multiple reminders for same event?

Each day at 08:00 my iPAQ5550 spits out more than one reminder for the
same event. e.g. workday then another also saying workday. On a
Saturday I get four reminders. Is this a by-product of using Pocket
Informant whilst the Pocket Outlook is still resident?
