What channel should sony tv be on for dvd to work

Hello, I can't get sound have picture for dvd what channel setting should I have my tv on?
I would appreciate any tips you can give me thanks.

Sounds like you have an incorrect connection between your DVD player and TV. Please provide make/model # of both the TV and DVD player as well as what connections you're using.
