what do 2 beeps mean?

my latitude d820 won't boot. After I disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery then power on, 2 beeps occur. Does this mean a bad battery or bad adapter?

2 beeps - any error description with it? Could be your OS drive failing. Disconnect it and try again.
