What happened? TV connects to computer but not to my screen.

TV is only showing what must be the default laptop background, laptop is showing my chosen background and internet window. Did something happen to my cable? Could there be some computer setting I need to reset? Thank you.

What are you expecting to see on the tv?
Try moving an open window to the tv. If it moves there then you have your two monitor setup in extended mode and you have one very large desktop that spans both screens.
If you wanted the tv to show the same thing as the laptop you need to change it to clone mode.
