What is a good inexpensive laptop for trading stocks online?

I friend of mine asked me today what would be a good laptop for him to get without getting something he doesn't really need. He wants to use it primarily for trading stocks and watching DVD movies. I suggested a dual i3 processor with at least 4gb of RAM if not 8gb. I don't trade stocks so I don't know the requirements for the stock trading software if there is any. I did recommend a high speed internet connection as that would probably be his most important factor when it comes to split second trading. What are your more "educated" suggestions as to what he would need and what laptop he should try and purchase.

I suppose HD screen (so that more informatiion can be seen at the same time) is a must. If your friend has problems with his/her sight, look for large screen size as well.
