what is a "sender unit"?

I have a Samsung smart TV with bluetooth speaker option. The TV speaker mutes if I try to use bluetooth headphones or wireless headphones. A guy says you can plug a "sender unit" into headphone or audio jacks that will transfer the audio and leave the TV speakers working. Do you know what a sender unit is?

It sends the Bluetooth signal without the tv knowing it so it won't mute the sound

Assuming your TV doesn't mute the internal speakers when you plug in the rear jack, wanna try it with a pair of headphones first before rushing giving people $?
