What is Maelstrom VAD Streaming Service?

Ok so I can't find this in the services section of the task manager and it only appears when my pc is connected to the internet so I am assumming it is some kind of audio streaming service but I never installed any such thing. Where could it have come from?

It is part of a 3D sound driver by this company. It is safe I bet that some website or program used it and installed it.
