What are the best settings on vlc to play high resolution videos without any lag?

Not really sure what you are asking, as long as you don't have a very old computer VLC does not need any special setting to play HD video.

There was a lag in the video while playing 1080p vidoes on my pc. so, i wasn't sure why the lag? I am using 3.0.8 Vetinari version of VLC.
