Question What is this cable? Lenovo Y700-15ISK

When disassemling my Lenovo Y700-15ISK to replace the keyboard, I stumbled upon this cable (within the blue square on the picture), which I can't find info on anywhere on how to remove it.
So I tried to remove it (by slowly working the metal piece in the red square on the picture back) and well, it didn't look like it is removable, and I may have broken it. What is it for and did I mess it up by trying to remove it? If so what to do now?

As it appears to be coming from your display (under the hinge), I suspect that is a "video" connection.
