The TV has two hdmi ports; one is used for Roku and the other was for Sony 5.1 surround sound. We subscribed to Dish and they used the surround sound port. What kind of splitter can I use to re-connect the surround sound?

Solution
You need an HDMI input selector

not a splitter.
If your surround sound uses ARC to get audio from the TV then leave it connected to the HDMI input that it is connected now..
Connect the Roku and Dish box to the switcher and the switcher to the other HDMI input.
